SOUTH

DS Cafe: 34 Main Rd, Huonville

Masaaki's Sushi: Finest Sushi in the Southern Hemisphere, Geeveston open Friday and Saturday (11am-6.30pm).  You can also find Masaaki at the Melville Street Farmer's Market in Hobart on Sunday (9-1pm).

The Republic Bar & Cafe:  Elizabeth Street, North Hobart.  Excellent live music and meals.

The Grand Poobah, 142 Liverpool St, & Alley Cat Bar, 381 Elizabeth St (North Hobart): Music venue, cabaret, theme nights, markets and other great suprises.

The Raincheck Lounge in North Hobart offers some yummy tapas and a good glass of wine with affordable prices and a bohemian, retro atmosphere.

State Cinema:  Elizabeth Street, North Hobart. Great films, cafe & cakes!

The Hobart Aquatic Centre:  At the Domain, on your way into Hobart (Off the Tasman Hwy):  Great kids pool, lap pools, spa, sauna and gymnasium.

Bikram Hot Yoga:  Check out Studio newtown for great energy, friendly faces and trained Bikram teachers.  Otherwise to get out of town, head further South beyond Cygnet to Tranquil point Bikram Yoga studio.  Relax and Breathe in the beauty.

Fern Tree and Longely Taverns:  Driving out of Hobart, up and over the mountain (or riding!) after the summit turn off you can find these great little pubs that offer some amazing music combos from swing to jazz, rock to reggae.  Give them a call to find out what's on.  Meals and snacks also served.

EAST

The famous Mount Elephant Pancakes.  Stop along the winding route between St Mary's and Bicheno for some delights amongst the moss, gums and mystic.

Freycinet Lodge Bistro.  After a wander in the granite fields and over to some beautiful beaches stop in at the lodge's bistro for some great local food and a refreshment on the deck overlooking Great Oyster Bay.

Kabuki by the sea- 12km south of Swansea.  Dine in style on local seafoods overlooking the magnificent hazards ocean, accommodation also available.

NORTH

Stop by for a recharge in Campbell town and find great coffee at the Red Door Cafe & Gallery (South side of town) or Zeps (heart of town).  Cheap bakery items can also be found in Banjos just a few shops down.

WEST

Skwiz Cafe Gallery in Sheffield.  Check out the local hospitatlity and treats with a cup of coffee here.
