Selecting Multiple hubs and both Passenger and Driver Options

Hi there Coolpoolers!!

On this fantastic web site is it possible to select to be both a passenger and driver - as I am keen to be both

I also want to select various hubs.

For example - I travel four days per week to Eastern Shore where I teach from North Hobart, and keen to assist any passengers.

But at least once a month would love to be a passenger to Launceston and return.

How can I do this?

In relation to Lisa's Question.
The best thing to do is register the Eastern Shore as your Hub (or the suburb on the eastern shore such as Clarence).
Then, as we are just a new online resource POST Looking for passengers, and looking for a ride! YES, you can post to be both a driver and passenger. This shows people surfing and looking at the site that you are willing to share rides TO AND FROM these locations.

If you go to Launceston once a month- put this in your personal profile (About me). You can EDIT your personal details once you've logged in. You can also POST this as a ride, or looking for a ride and have it as a REGULAR monthly trip! Happy CARPOOLING!

Hubs

Can you please add Eastern Shore to the list of suburbs, I acually go to Clarence - and that is not there either. Clarence Point is on the Tamar near Launceston.
Can we please do multile selections showing where we can take passengers to?
I am keen! But so few matches for rides...

How can I see who the other ppl on the site are? How did Wanasai find me - I can't see any of the other 90

Keep up the tweaking! Lisa

How to Find Posted Rides Easily

Thanks for the feedback Lisa. Yes, we are still tweaking away and your comments are great!

I am going to leave the first question at the moment, as this is a programming question, which our webdevelopers will need to answer for us...be back to you with answer asap though.

In response to your frustration about finding rides...

One of the special features we have worked into the site is that you can see all the rides posted (no other national sites have this feature). You don't even have to be logged in. All you need to do is click on FIND in the right hand links under SEARCH THE POOL and it will bring up all the rides people have posted (you don't need to enter any place names or dates).

We are in the process of including a map of Tasmania which will show the distribution of people registered on the site, and if you are a member you will be able to see their 'about me' description and send them a message
through our 'private message' link.

Multiple Places to connect: This is a good suggestion, but would make our search engine too complex. If you have a particular journey you take you can add information in the additional section when you are posting the ride. I would suggest making a couple of posts for your major routes and adding in more information for the journey. You can also include details of your regular commuting in the about me section.

I believe that you can't see the other 90 members as we are still installing the map feature of this site.

We encourage people once they become members to POST a ride or search....that is if you need one. By simply putting details of your ride in the ABOUT ME section, doesn't maximise your chances of connecting with another commuter. POST A RIDE!!! :-))
Bonne chance.
