“Each year in Tasmania, transport releases almost 1.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. If we’re going to reduce our emissions and contribute to a global solution to climate change, then we need to start thinking of new ways to get people from A to B. Carpooling is one way you can make a difference. Every litre of petrol you can save by sharing a ride with another person stops another 2.4 kilograms of carbon dioxide from going into our environment. Small steps all add up.”
