STICK IT ON YOUR BUMPER!

Today is a grandis day for the Cool Pool.
Our 250th member signed up from Launceston...As we continue to tick along the North and Northwest of the State are starting to come into the picture.
Remember to continue posting. By listing information in the 'about me' section is not going to guarantee someone clicks on your profile from the map...So, for maximum opportunity- POST A RIDE!
We need a surge of new members to really start this flow of movement from A to B; Launnie to Hobart; Campbell Town to the Circus Festival; Smithton to Deloraine.
Do you have a bumper sticker on your car yet? Why on earth not...can't find one?
We have them. Please contact us, and help us to keep these resources flowing by donating through our secured paypal donate button.
The sticker is our cool pool logo, seen here hanging and stuck to the back of our walking car.
Happy 250 DAY!
Cool Pool Tas.
Sustainable Living Tasmania Expo 2008

Were you at the Sustainable Living Expo this year?
What a great day Cool Pool Tas had on November 1st; with some vibrant support from expo participants the Cool Pool Tas walking car danced its way through the crowds at City Hall, Hobart, lighting up the faces of young and old.
Cool Pool Tas with great support from Sustainable Living Tasmania will continue to promote a statewide transition towards a positive carpooling culture. We are working to inform and educate one and all on the many great aspects gained from sharing a ride with someone else....rearranging schedules....becoming more flexible....offering....giving....
The savings are layered in all points of the compass: Nature (Less CO2 and road congestion); Economy (fuel cost shared); Social (meeting and sharing in community); Wellbeing (Healthier thinking and better air to breathe!!).
Cool Pool Tas's Book Marks
Please support the pool to grow by printing off some of our book mark flyers for distribution.
Some great places to sit these flyers would be cafes, libraries, local neighbourhood houses, local doctor's surgery/clinics, your workplace coffee table etc...
Thanks for helping the pool to grow...

Fuel Summit "NO TALK FEST"
The Fuel Summit held today in Launceston was certainly "no talk fest" when Premier, David Bartlett committed to engage Cool Pool Tas to develop a specialized carpooling resource for the Tasmanian Government.
This is an inspiring and progressive outcome for the Cool Pool Tas network and the Tasmanian Community!
Bravo Tassie!

Cool Pool Tas walk the talk
On Sunday at Tasmania's Royal Botanical Gardens, Cool Pool Tas were accepting their first carpooler registrations for their new website coolpooltas.com.au .
Featured at their tent site at the Gardens was a very flash "walking car", that made it all the way there from Salamanca Place- to help promote the launch of the site.
A group of around 12 motivated and healthy Cool Pool Tas volunteers put their finishing touches on the car before climbing in and marching it into the "tread lightly enviro-fest" event. Some difficulties came about at the gates as the hub caps were too wide for the entrance! However, a dedicated team were able to pool their strengths and lift it over the high fence and into the Gardens.
The walking car represents the growing need for us to carpool. Indeed, this car can not move with out the support of at least 3 people carrying it inside. Similarly, as petrol prices continue to increase, can we continue to drive alone along the roads, or wait for transportation infrastructure to catch up with our rapidly changing world.
This website has been created to help make connections for drivers and passengers so that they can save on fuel costs, go places at flexible times and on varying routes, and chip in their piece for combating climate change.
